Evening primrose oil shows promise
We analyzed how different types of dietary fats might influence breast cancer growth. In our study, we used athymic mice with human breast cancer cells and supplemented their diets with evening primrose oil and fish oil, while others received olive oil or a standard diet without essential fatty acids.

We found that the tumors in the mice receiving evening primrose oil were significantly smaller compared to those on a standard diet — suggesting that increasing essential fatty acids could play a beneficial role in managing breast cancer.

Evening primrose oil enhances tamoxifen
We explored the potential of evening primrose oil (EPO) to enhance the effects of tamoxifen—an established breast cancer treatment. In laboratory tests using human breast cancer cell lines, EPO showed promising results, working alongside tamoxifen to encourage cancer cell death and stop cell growth.

While our findings suggest that EPO can improve tamoxifen's anticancer abilities, more research is needed to fully understand its impact on breast cancer treatment in patients.

Evening primrose oil shows limited effects
We conducted a randomized, double-blind, controlled trial to explore the effects of fish oil and evening primrose oil (EPO) on breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Over 12 weeks, participants received either the oil supplements or a placebo.

While we noted improvements in fatty acid profiles in the treatment group, the study showed no significant changes in inflammatory markers between the two groups. Despite a decrease in IL-6 levels in the intervention group, there was no major benefit observed overall.

Ultimately, our findings suggest that while this supplementation can help with lipid metabolism, it does not deliver significant anti-inflammatory effects for breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

I take evening primrose oil in conjunction with other treatments for fibrocystic mastopathy. Results were noticeable within 3-4 days; my breast sensitivity to hormonal changes has decreased significantly. I plan to continue my regimen and hope the cysts disappear; I will post an update.

Hormonal relief experienced
This is the best evening primrose oil (EPO). It effectively helps manage my hormonal fluctuations throughout the month, alleviating breast pain, mood swings, and cramps. I have used this brand for years; it's easy to swallow despite its size, tasteless, and gentle on an empty stomach.
